That being said, Origin is still active, and even some new games from the company such as FIFA 23 force players to run Origin as a secondary launcher even if they are playing the game through Steam. The backlash over Origin finally forced EA to release a new launcher which is now known as EA Desktop Launcher. Since its release, the launcher had multiple issues and some remain unfixed even after all these years. However, it doesn't mean a complete removal of Origin from the board!ĮA's Origin launcher has never been a favorite PC launcher among gamers. After that, when I clicked "Install" under new Dead Space game I was first prompted to link my EA and Epic accounts and the game installed successfully but from my EA App, despite the fact I bought it from Epic Games store.Īfter the installation, the game can be normally run as any other using an account that doesn't have admin rights. ![]() I managed to solve my problem by logging into my PC using an account that does have full admin rights. I tried reinstalling both Epic Games Launcher and the EA App but same result. If I click in the Epic Store launcher on "Install" under new Dead Space it just displays "Please wait while we install the partner application" for a few seconds and nothing happens. Had this same problem while trying to run this game on a Windows 11 OS with a user account that doesn't have admin rights, despite running both the EA App and Epic Games Launcher using "run as admin" and providing admin account credentials. ![]()
